Lucía's Letter is an audio recording of the true story of a young Guatemalan woman who writes a letter to her mother about her emigration to the U.S. and her enslavement in Southwest Florida.  The 2009 Letter has six versions: in English, Spanish, MayaQ'anjobal, MayaQ'iché, Mixteco and Haitian Kreyol.

Through the GRACE Project (Guatemalan Rural Adult and Children's Education) we provide Women's Health and Leadership Workshops.  Here we are in July 2009 in Huehuetenángo, Guatemala at the Catholic Diocese.  50 participants were from groups that represent over 6000 Mayan and Ladina women in rural Northwest Guatemala. This project was sponsored by the Sanibel-Captiva Zonta Foundation and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers, Florida.
